The Mokelumne Hill Sanitary District collection system was installed in 1947 and had been experiencing increasing failure problems. The existing lines were contributing high inflow and infiltration (I&I) to the District’s wastewater treatment plant. WGA applied for and secured a grant for $1.5 million from the State Water Resources Control Board, Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program to remove and replace approximately 7,150 linear feet of existing clay pipe within the District. WGA provided engineering design, and construction support services for this project. From concept to construction WGA delivered this successful project.
